At Energaea we give emphasis in quality acquired with modern practices and state-of-the-art equipment. We thus ensure that the nutritious components as well as the taste of our products, and most particularly, olive oil, are kept intact, reducing at the same time our environmental impact.

We monitor every part of the production process, beginning from the cultivation, the harvesting and the milling until the dispatch of every bottle of our exceptional olive oil to you. What motivates us though lies not in the technology or the process, but in the love, the devotion, the passion for our work and the will to share this with olive oil enthusiasts around the globe.

Food safety procedures & certification

At Energaea, our principal purpose is to produce and distribute the highest quality Greek extra virgin olive oil. Our carefully selected olive groves and producers are based in the best known regions for producing Greece’s finest and tastiest olives.

We are PDO and PGI certified producers for olive oil, having 5 Protected Geographical Indications and 2 Protected Denominations of origin, certified by Agrocert, the national Organization for Certification & Inspection of Agricultural Products.

For us, organic products are not just a trend, but a way of life; therefore, almost 50% of our production comes from Organic farming, certified by DIO, the Greek Inspection and Certification Organization of Organic Products.
Our products are transported and maintained in dark, temperature-controlled and atmosphere control (N2) inox tanks.
We apply mechanical, low pressure, paper filtering for our olive oil, the same day or some days after the crushing of olives, which retains the quality of all the olive oil components, especially polyphenols, and reduces the likelihood of oxidation. High polyphenol level in olive oil is a factor of quality, as it is associated with numerous health benefits for the consumer and also increases the oil’s shelf life.

We monitor all our products and every single lot in an ISO17025 certified laboratory with many chemical analysis and organoleptic evaluation. Each of our products contains a lot number, for tracking purposes.

Our production plant is certified under ISO 22000:2005 by DQS, one of the leading certification bodies for management systems worldwide.
